When I was Saved I found the terminology of Christianity confusing to me so I would look up the meanings in the dictionary and run my references in the Bible to understand what they meant and what I was. Such as I didn't know that Minister meant to Help. Now when I read that the Angels came to minister to Jesus I understand that it means they came to help Him.

I hope this helps you as well.

ABUNDANT

1. Richly or plentifully supplied; ample. to abound (to be plentiful in number or amount. to be fully supplied) To overflow.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come so they may have life, and have it more ABUNDANTLY. John 10:10 Also 2 Corinthians 8:14 & Romans 5:17

ACKNOWLEDGE

1. To admit to be real or true; recognize the existence, truth, or fact of. 3. To recognize the authority, validity, or claims or. 4. To show or express appreciation or gratitude for.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways

ACKNOWLEDGE him, and he will make your paths straight.

AUTHORITY (learn the Authority of the Believer)

1. a. The right and power to command, enforce laws, determine, influence or judge. b. A person or group invested with this right and power.


All Authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

CONDEMN

CONFIDENCE

1. Belief in the powers, trustworthiness, or reliability of a person or thing; full trust: reliance.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

CONFORMED

1. to act in accordance or harmony: comply. 2. to act in accord with the prevailing standards, attitudes, practices, etc. , of society or a group.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2

CURSE

1. the expression of a wish that misfortune, evil, doom, etc. befall someone. 3. an evil or misfortune that has been invoked upon one.

How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?

Numbers 23:8

DOUBT

1. to be uncertain about: consider questionable or unlikely. 2. to distrust. 3. to fear. 4. to be uncertain. 5. a feeling of uncertainty. 6. distrust or suspicion.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

ETERNAL

1. Infinite time; duration without beginning or end.

FAITH (Believing that God has already done it)

2 a : belief and trust in and loyalty to God. belief in the traditional doctrines of a religion b : firm belief in something for which there is no proof. complete trust

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

1. a silly or stupid person; one who lacks sense.

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

FORGIVE

1. To excuse for a fault or offense. 2. To stop feeling anger for or resentment against. 3. To absolve from payment of.

For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

FORNICATION

1. Voluntary sexual intercourse between two unmarried persons or two persons not married to each other. 2. adultery.

Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body

1 Corinthians 6:18-20

FREE

1. At liberty; not bound or constrained. 2. not under obligation or necessity., 4.a. not affected by a given condition or circumstance. b. exempt. Unobstructed, to rid or release, to disengage, untangle. To liberate.

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

GOSPEL (GOOD NEWS)

1. the teachings of Jesus and the apostles; the Christian revelation. 4. something absolutely or unquestionably true. 6. glad tidings, esp. concerning salvation and the kingdom of God.

And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Mark 16:15-16

Explain; what is good news to a poor person? What is good news to a sick person? They don't have to be poor, they don't have to be sick. That is Salvation or Sozo, deliverance from your current state of sin (poverty, sickness and death.)

     
       

HEALED

1. to make healthy, whole or sound; restore to health; free from ailment. 2. to repair or reconcile; settle. 3. to free from evil; cleanse, purify.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

HELP

1. to give assistance or support to. 2. to make more pleasant or bearable.

A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills-- From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. HOLY

1. Set apart
Because it is written,

HOMOSEXUAL

1. attracted sexually to members of one’s own sex.
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. JOY

JUSTIFY

...that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. MINISTER

1. to give aid or service, to help.

PLAN

PRAISE

1. the act of expressing approval or admiration; commendation. 2. The offering of grateful homage in words or song as an act of worship.

I Will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Psalm 34:1

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.

PRAYER (TO COMMUNICATE)

1. a devout petition to God or an object of worship. 2. A spiritual communion with God or an object of worship, as in supplication, thanksgiving, or adoration.

For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil."

1 Peter 3:12

PRIDE

1. feeling pleasure or satisfaction over something regarded as honorable or creditable to oneself. 5. Having or showing an inordinate opinion of one’s own dignity, superiority, etc; arrogant; haughty.

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18

PROSPERITY

1. a successful, flourishing, or thriving condition, esp. in financial respects; good fortune.

Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually, "Let the Lord be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant."

Psalm 35:27

PROTECT

1. a person or thing that protects, defender, guardian.

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

Psalm 32:7

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Psalm 46:1

PROVIDE

1. to furnish; supply. 2. to make available; afford. 3. to set down as or make a stipulation. To take measures in preparation: provide against emergencies. 5. to supply means of subsistence (existence): provide for one’s family.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

REDEEMED

1. to recover ownership of by paying a specified sum. 2. To pay off, as a promissory note. 3. To turn in and receive something in exchange. 4. To set free; rescue. 5. To save from sin. 6. To make up for: redeemed his earlier mistake.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy…

Psalm 107:2

RIGHTEOUS

1. Characterized by uprightness or morality. 2. Morally right or justifiable. 3. Acting in an upright, moral way; virtuous.

For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

SAINTS

1. one of God's chosen people, usually Christian.

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.

Colossians 1:26

SALVATION (SOZO)

1. the act of saving or protecting from harm, risk, loss, etc. 2. the state of being so saved or protected. 3. a source, cause, or means of being saved or protected from harm, risk, etc. 4. deliverance from the power and penalty of sin; redemption.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Acts 4:12

SANCTIFY

1. to set apart to a sacred purpose or to religious use .

Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Hebrews 13:12

SIN

1. A transgression of a religious or moral law, especially when deliberate.

Deliberate disobedience to the known will of God.

A condition of estrangement from God resulting from such disobedience.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God

STRENGTH

1. the quality or state of being strong; physical power; vigor.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13

…Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

TRANSFORMED

1. to change in form, appearance, or structure; metamorphose. 2. to change in condition, nature, or character, convert. 3. to change into another substance, transmute. To radically change the outward form or inner character: a frog transformed into a prince.

TRUST

1. firm reliance; confident belief; faith. 6. reliance on something in the future; hope. 2. to rely or depend on. have confidence in. To be confident; hope. 3. to expect with assurance; assume. 4. to believe

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

WEALTH

1. a great quantity or store of money, property, or other riches. 2. plentiful amount, abundance.

And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Deuteronomy 8:18

WISDOM

1. having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right; possessing discernment judgment or discretion.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.

Psalm 111:10

WITNESS

1. to see, hear, or know by personal presence and perception.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
